About Beyond the Bump

Supporting You Through Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond

Beyond the Bump wasn't built from a business plan. It was built from a personal experience of searching for support during one of life's most vulnerable moments — and not finding what was needed. This is what grew from that.

Vicky

Owner, Antenatal Educator, Hypnobirthing Lead, Baby Specialist & Mum of Three

Hi, I’m Vicky, wife to Max and proud mummy to three beautiful children: Maible (April 2020), Axyll (February 2022), and Xavia (November 2024). Originally from Cumbria, I now call Warwick home and love raising my little ones here. My passion for pregnancy, birth, and parenthood grew from my own journey. After years of fertility struggles, ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages, and IVF, I was finally blessed with my first baby, born at Warwick Hospital. Since then, I’ve had two incredible planned home births. This personal experience, combined with extensive training and continuous learning, allows me to provide compassionate, evidence-based support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period. Whether you're preparing for labour, navigating postpartum life, or bonding with your baby through massage, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Qualifications & Expertise:

Melissa

Owner, Birth Trauma Specialist, Antenatal Educator & Mum of Three

Hi, I’m Melissa, partner to Richard and mummy to Ophelia (March 2020), Rowen (May 2022), and Bryony (August 2025). Originally from Western Canada, I’ve lived in the UK for over a decade, mostly around the Leamington/Warwick area. My pregnancy and birth experiences have been vastly different. My first daughter, Ophelia, was born via emergency C-section at 33 weeks due to preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome—on the very first day of lockdown in March 2020. The trauma of that experience, paired with the lack of postnatal support, left a lasting impact. A year later, I faced another heartbreaking experience—a Termination for Medical Reasons (TFMR) at 14 weeks for our second baby girl, Noa. Again, I found myself without the support I desperately needed. When I became pregnant with Rowen, I took control, did my own research, and found my voice. That pregnancy and birth experience was empowering and positive, leading me to my mission: helping other parents feel informed, supported, and in control of their birth journey. I completed my family with the incredible homebirth of Bryony.

Qualifications & Expertise:

✔️ Fedant-Registered Antenatal & Postnatal Educator
✔️ Certified Birth Trauma & Debrief Therapist
