Service Description
A 6-Week Attachment & Bonding Course for Mums & Babies (0–6 months) Held & Connected is a gentle, supportive 6-week course for mums and their babies, designed to nurture early attachment, support maternal mental health, and reduce isolation in the early months of parenthood. This course offers a calm, baby-led space where mums can slow down, feel supported, and build confidence in responding to their baby - without pressure, judgement or expectation to “do things a certain way”. Sessions are soft, nurturing and trauma-informed, while being grounded in evidence and real-life parenting. Across six weekly sessions, mums and babies are supported through: - Building secure attachment and bonding - Understanding baby cues, communication and what’s normal for babies - Baby massage and nurturing touch - Calm sensory play and connection - Nervous system regulation for mum (with baby present) - Peer support and shared experience - Practical tools that can be used at home long-term Babies are welcome exactly as they are - feeding, crying, movement and settling are always supported. This course is suitable for mums with babies aged 0–6 months, particularly those who: - Feel overwhelmed, anxious or emotionally low - Are feeling isolated or lacking support - Are adjusting after a difficult or unexpected birth - Want reassurance around baby behaviour, sleep and crying - Would benefit from gentle, preventative postnatal support No prior experience is needed, just come as you are. Group size: Up to 8 mums Baby age: 0–6 months Funded & Accessible The March course is funded by our local councillors from Warwickshire County Council, allowing us to offer fully funded spaces to ensure no family is excluded from support. Access is based on trust - no proof, no questions asked. Because every family matters.
