Module 5: The Birth Partner Role Many birth partners enter labour desperately wanting to help - but with very little idea of what actually helps in the moment. This session is designed to help birth partners feel calm, confident and genuinely useful during labour and birth. Rather than simply being told to “be supportive”, we explore how partners can help create a calmer environment, support decision making, recognise when things are escalating and help the birthing person feel safe, grounded and less alone during labour. This session is especially powerful for couples who want to feel more connected and more prepared as a team heading into birth. Because when birth changes quickly, emotions run high or difficult decisions need to be made, the role of the birth partner can have a huge impact on how safe and supported someone feels.
